If there is a lesson learned from The Founder, it is that jerks are rewarded. The Founder is a story based around Ray Kroc (Michael Keaton) and his underhanded dealings in taking over the now gigantic fast food chain, “McDonald’s”. The most interesting part of this film is witnessing the power shift between the McDonald brothers and Ray Kroc. It is well directed and frames Kroc in the abrasive and prickly colour that he was, but the story falls over a little when it follows some of the more formulaic act structures.
