We’ve all wondered at some point what our pets get up to when we leave them at home alone. The Secret Life of Pets gives us an insight into the daily lives of our fur babies. Set in Manhattan, we watch as a little terrier, Max (Louis C.K.), is introduced to his new big brother – a large shaggy puppy named Duke (Eric Stonestreet).

The pair must put their differences aside and band together with the rest of the pets in their apartment block as Snowball (Kevin Hart), a stray bunny, attempts to wreak havoc on those pets who have owners. This movie is fast paced and although the plot may not be perfect or groundbreaking, The Secret Life of Pets succeeds in being cute and entertaining. I would recommend this film even if it is just to see a posh poodle head-banging to System of a Down.
