After loving the first Kingsman I was a little worried that Kingsman: The Golden Circle would suffer from the common sequel syndrome. Well, it wasn’t as good as the first but it was still enjoyable. Eggsy, played by Taron Egerton, was just a witty and his chemistry with Colin Firth was excellent.
The cinematography, direction and special effects were all outstanding and really helped carry the film when it was dragging its feet. Apart from the lead actors, Julianne Moore, Colin Firth, Taron Egerton and Mark Strong, the rest of the cast were fairly disappointing and whilst you get points for Elton John’s cameo, he’s actually quite a terrible actor.
As for story… It was kind of bland. The first Kingsman did so well as a sendup of James Bond but this was a little predictable and stodgy. But where the story and acting fell short, the visuals were truly magnificent and make it worth seeing.
