It’s refreshing to see a thriller/horror film lean on an intelligent and witty diegesis rather than rehash the same old movie tropes. Get Out plays on the paranoid yet creative mind of first time director Jordan Peele and features a brilliant cast that help deliver such a terrifying story.
Not since Cabin In The Woods, which inversely embraced the horror movie tropes, have I seen a film that has absorbed my interest so quickly and didn’t travel down the path of predictability.
